Obituary of Matilda Morrison Lawther

Lawther, Matilda Morrison Peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at St. Catharines General Hospital. Matilda Lawther 93 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Robert, loving mother of Ian and his wife Ginnie Lawther of New Brunswick, Jan and her husband Gerry Groombridge of St. Catharines, dear grandmother of Robert Lawther and his wife Debra of London, Derek Lawther and his wife Reina of Charlottetown, Tom Groombridge of St. Catharines, Debbie and her husband Paul Kopeschny of St. Catharines, great grandmother of Jessica, Dillon and Samantha Lawther. Mrs. Lawther was a former member of Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club and was a member of Scotlea Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Lawther is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where a funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. with interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation.
