Obituary of Elena Basilavecchia

BASILAVECCHIA, Elena Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2002 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Nicola (1988) and her daughter Maria (1991). Loving mother of Teresa (Dominic) Pavone and her son-in-law Giuseppe Colantoni. Dear Nonna of Renato (Anna) Colantoni, Remo (Mirella) Colantoni, Rita Colantoni and Adrian, John & Anthony Pavone. Dear Big Nonna of Elizabeth and Brandon Colantoni. Predeceased by sister Gilda (Giuseppe) Colangeli and survived by her brothers Giovanni (Carmela) and Rizziero (Elisabetta) Costantini. Elena will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews. Elena was a member of Club Roma and St. Alfred's Church. Mrs. Basilavecchia is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Friday at 9:30am. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Special thanks to Dr. W. Gruber, Dr. J. Henry and the 3rd Floor Nursing Staff.
