Obituary of Maria Grazia Damiano

DAMIANO, Maria Grazia Peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Monday April 15, 2002 in her 84th year. Dear beloved wife of Alfonso. Cherished mother of Angela (Vincent) Evangelista and Libby (Sisto) Scappaticci. Loving Nonna of John (Sherry), Robert (Susan), Andrew (Margaret), David (Ines), Alana and Andrea. Loving Nonnina of Rose Marie, Grace, Sophia, and Luke. Predeacesed by two sisters and two brothers in Italy and one brother in St. Catharines. Survived by her twin sister Angela Maria in St. Catharines, and her brother Vincenzo in White Plains, New York. Many thanks to the nursing staff of the Paliative Care at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, and Sister Louise for her compassionate and sensitive care during her illness. Mrs. Damiano is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:00am. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be celebrated at the funeral home Wednesday at 3:30pm. Memorial remembrances to Hotel Dieu Oncology or Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated by the family.
