Obituary of Nunzio Daniele
DANIELE NUNZIO Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday March 22, 2002 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 74th year. Nunzio leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Angela Maria. Beloved father of Connie (Carlo) Maltese. Dedicated Nonno of Rosalie (Nello) Rescigno and Angelo (Richard) Rosenboom. Proud great - grandfather of Enrico and Fernande. He is survived by several brothers and sisters, Assunta (Filippo) Ingala, Mario and the late Maria (1987) Daniele, Maria (Giovanni) Credico. He is survived by many brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Michele (1991) and Concetta (1996) Daniele and his brother Giuseppe Daniele (1995).
Nunzio was born in San Giovanni in Galdo (Molise) Italy, March 25, 1927. He immigrated to Buenos aires, argentina in 1950, and later to Canada in 1969. He was a very hard worker and was determined to make a better life for his family. Nunzio will be remembered for his upbeat personality and great sense of houmour. He was an active member of St. Alfreds parish. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Nunzio is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celelbrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Pleasantview Memoial Gardens. Visiting hours are Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30pm. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Wellspring Niagara.
