DULEWICZ, Zygmunt Sylvester
Passed away peacefully, in his 81st year at the Greater Niagara General Hospital (I.C.U.) on Friday, March 15th, 2002. For fifty six years he was the beloved husband of Zofia. Cherished father of Danuta (John ) Bortolussi, Jeanie (Vito) Bennici, Richard (Dee Smith), and Stephanie (Andrew) Fuller. "Dziadzia" will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Robert, Kevin, Christopher, Joya (Nico Marino), Juliana (Kevin Julian), and Austin. Predeceased by his parents Antoniego & Wiktorii. Survived by his sister Dorota of Poland. Zygmunt was born on December 31st, 1921 in Poland. He survived World War II in Germany as a prisoner of war, and then came to Canada to raise his family. He lived for nine years in Niagara Falls and eventually came to farm in Niagara On The Lake. "Ziggy" was a loyal employee of Norton Company Chippawa for 33 years until his retirement in 1985. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and taxidermist.
Mr. Dulewicz is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Tuesday at 11:00am. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 3:30pm. Rite of Committal at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
