Obituary of George Longpre

Longpre, George Wilfred - On Sunday February 24, 2002 at Versa Care Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Pauline. Dear father of Virginia (Roger) Martin of St. Catharines, Gordon (Sharon) of Prince George B.C., Kenneth, Gary, and Debbie (Vic) all of St. Catharines, and David (Wendy) of Pembroke. Loving Papa of 11 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Dear brother of Albert, Leo, Bill, Florence, Alma & Cecile. Predeceased by one son Roger (1956). Mr. Longpre was a member of St. Alfred's Church and was employed at Newman Steel for 17 years retiring in 1984. Mr. Longpre is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be clelbrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Cremation to follow. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00pm. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Victoria Order of Nurses would be appreciated by the family.
