We can only pray that we will have loved life and been loved as Dorothy had been loved by Charlie.

I was absolutely overwhelmed this morning as I read the Standard and learned of Dorothy's passing. I have known Dorothy and Charlie for many years but unfortunately lost touch over the past few. We have lost a truly amazing woman, far too soon. Dorothy lived life to the fullest.
Charlie - I love you and you are in my thoughts. Dorothy - I miss you and miss our last few years together.
My condolences to all of your family. Chris

It is with great sadness that I offer my sincere condolences to Charlie and the family on the passing of Dorothy; I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her precious grandchildren. She loved them so much and was so proud of them all.
I worked closely with Dorothy at QML for the last few years of her employment there; she was most helpful to me, the 'new kid on the block'. We spent some time sharing personal family moments and I know her illness must have been difficult for Charlie and her girls. My prayers are with you all; may you find comfort in knowing that others care.
With deepest sympathy,
Teresa Sampson

Greetings,
I am stunned as I browsed the deaths in the Standard just now! I knew Dorothy from Queenston Labs, where for years she drew my blood. I have many memories and fond feelings for her. When going through various stages in my illness she was funny, supporting and a firned who leant a listening ear. I am so saddened that her life has ended so early! I can recall the many times she spoke of her daughter Jill and the memories she had. To her family my thoughts and prayers are with you. I thought much and respected Dorothy. And truely missed seeing her when the lab closed on Queenston. She new her job and cared about people. Again I am stunned.
Blessings,
Debi Tichbourne

It is with great sadness that I learned of Dorothy's passing. My heartfelt support goes out to Charlie, whose "best friend" has gone to be with the Lord. My fondest memeory is seeing Dorothy in the Regatta Office, listening to Charlie and all the officials. God Bless her; the Rowing Club has lost a true friend.

She was like a second mom to me, when both our families were going through divorces. I grew up with her girls, and sadly lost touch. I was not surprised to hear of Charlies passing right away. They were true soul mates. The family is in my thoughts.
