Obituary of Florence Margaret Kennedy

Kennedy, Florence Peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 30, 2001 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 83rd year. Loving wife of the late John Murdoch. Beloved mother of Frances (Ron) Horvath, Marie (John) TeDesco, the late Alec Angus, Peter (Pat), Georgina (Peter), Michael (Sheila), Steve (Trudy), John (Mia), and Jacqueline (David) Dunlop. Proud grandma of 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Katherine and Mary of Nova Scotia. Florence will be sadly missed by her friends Betty Smith, Gladys Warburton, and Archie McClelland. Mrs. Kennedy is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria on Thursday at 10:00am. Rite of Committal at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00pm. If so desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
