Obituary of Thomas F. Winmill

Winmill Thomas F. Peacefully on Saturday December 29, 2001, at the Shaver Hospital, St. Catharines. Tom Winmill, beloved and devoted husband of Joan (Brodhurst) for 48 years, dear father of Dennis and Anne Marie of Oakville, David and Laura of Maple Ridge B.C., Catherine and Warren Saunders of St. Catharines, Paul and Heather of Burlington. Papa will be lovingly remembered by Jennifer, Mark, Allison, Jessica, Jasmine, Sean, Christopher, Ian and Claire. Dear brother of Harry of Welland and the late Jack, dear brother-in-law of Betty Winmill of Welland. Tom will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Tom was a founding and long time member and usher with St. Julia's Church, retired from Niagara Structural Steel where he worked for 34 years. and enjoyed his many years as an Auxilliary Police Officer with the O.P.P., retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Friends may call at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday from 3-5pm and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Julia's Church, 251 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at 10:30am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm.
