Obituary of Doris Shimmon

Shimmon, Doris Passed away at home on Sunday, December 16, 2001 in her 90th year. Loving mother of son Hugh and his wife Eileen (St. Catharines), daughter Deane Trail (Ajax) and grandchildren Martin and wife Patricia (St. Catharines), Tanya (Toronto), Patricia and husband Craig (Chatham), Stephen (Ajax) and four great grandchildren, survived by sister Meta Kirkwood (Belfast, N. Ireland) and nieces and nephews: Joan Gordon (Downpatrick, N. Ireland), Jim Kirkwood (South Africa), Martin Smyth (Belfast, N. Ireland) and Carolyn Adams (Dromore, N. Ireland). Predeceased by husband James Mitchell Shimmon (1971). Doris is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. for visitation on Tuesday, December 18, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on December 19, 2001 at 2 p.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Seeing Eye Dog Charity or St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation.
