Obituary of Patricia Ovis

Ovis Patricia (nee Straiko) Surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday December 15, 2001 at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, at 63 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Frederick. Loving mother of Gary and Darren. Cherished daughter of Samuel Straiko. Dear sister of Doreen Straiko, Karen (Brian) Koziar. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Patricia was a very loyal woman who held great love for her family, she was an avid gardener, a member of the Garden City Horticultural Society, a member of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church and loved to volunteer for pie baking on Monday nights in the church kitchen. Patricia is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Wednesdat at 10am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:30am. Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Visiting hours are Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
