Obituary of Katharine Siolkowsky

Siolkowsky, Katharine "Auntie Katie" Peacefully on Monday, November 26, 2001 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, in her 79th year. Loving wife of Ludwik for over 50 years. Beloved mother of Nestor & his wife Mary, Michael & his wife Irene, and Lidia Siolkowsky. Proud Baba of Taras, Michael, Ivanka, Marko, and Christine. Dear sister of Mary & Nick Burtniak, Stella & the late Harry Yacyshyn, Mike Hominchuk, Petrunia (Lily) & the late Nick Luzba, Bill & Caroline Hominchuk, and Lena & Walter Heighway. "Auntie Katie" is survived by her many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Siolkowsky was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Ukrainian Catholic Womens League of Canada, and the Ukrainian Scouting Auxilliary Plast "priyat". Mrs. Siolkowsky is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Thursday at 10:30am. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11am. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9pm & Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30pm. Memorial remembrances to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund or the Palliative Care Dept. of the Hotel Dieu would be appreciated by the family.
