Obituary of Herman Bodde
BODDE HERMAN Sr. Surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 5, 2002 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Hendrika (Ricky) for 48 years. Cherished father of Helen (Bill) Pruniak, Hank (Nadine), Herman Jr. (Anita), Rita (Greg) Middleton. Loving grandpa and opa of Jason, Jennifer, Miranda, Mileah, Marie and Allen. Brother of seven siblings all of Holland. Herman will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. Herman came to Canada in 1952. He was a member of St. Alfreds Parish, Dunlop Seniors Center, Port Dalhousie Lawn Bowling, and an avid bowler. He was a supervisor with Kenmore Construction for many years retiring in 1990.
Mr. Bodde is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Wednesday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfreds Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at
3 :00pm Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
A heartfelt thank you for the superior care of the ICU - PCU Staff at St. Catharines General Hospital especially Dr. Gruber for his compassion through these very difficult times.
