Obituary of Anthony Stechyshyn

STECHYSHYN, Anthony At the St. Catharines General Hoapital, on Friday, September 27th, 2002 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Jean (Lyko) and the late Anne (1974). Loving step-father of Cathy (Rick) Eller. Beloved Grandpa of Greg, Erin, and Meghan. Brother of Wanda (Mel) Scott. Tony will also be missed by many nieces & nephews. Tony was Administrator of the X-ray Dept. at the St. Catharines General Hospital until his retirement in 1974. He served as a Sargeant Major with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps from 1940 -1945. Mr. Stechyshyn is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Tuesday at 11:00am. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 3:30 pm. If so desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
