After a lengthy illness with his wife at his side. Nicolaus Osczypko in his 78th year passed away peacefully at Linhaven on Monday, September 23, 2002. Beloved husband of Cecilia for 52 years. Loving father of Christine (Brian), John (Judy) and Melissa (Dan). Dear Poppi to Tasha, Vicki, Nicholas, Lauren, Alexi and Christopher. Greatgrandfather to Haily, Romi, Alexander, Garrett. Brother of Maria and George in the Ukraine. Mr. Osczypko was a member of the Black Sea Hall and served with the 1st Ukrainian Division of the Ukrainian National Army.
Mr. Osczypko is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. Panachyda will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Memorial Remembrances to Tufford Nursing Home Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. J. Wakil and all the nursing staff at Linhaven for your dedicated care.
