Haslem, Henry "Hank" Edward
After a courageous battle on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at Shaver Hospital. Hank Haslem 88 years of age. Beloved husband of Edith, daughter Connie (Robert) and their sons Tim and Todd (Hiedi) Balanowski, daughter Colleen (Wayne) and their children Nicole, Kurt, Cindy and Kim Kershaw, great grandchildren Sabrina, Joel, Kenedy and Remi. Henry was a second World War Veteran Algonquin Regiment, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Thorold Branch, he was retired from The Beer Store. He was a loving husband of 63 years, a very special papa to all his children and grandchildren who will miss him very much. Hank was a past president and secretary of the St. Catharines Cribbage League for many years, having his own team "Hanks Own". Will be missed by all his fishing pals up in Kap. Family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Gregg, Dr. Hughes, Marsha, R.N., Staff from Medical Day Stay at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Shaver Hospital for the TLC shown to Hank.
Mr. Haslem is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where a funeral liturgy without mass will be celebrated in the chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rite of Committal in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Shaver Hospital or Oncology Department or Medical Day Stay at Hotel Dieu Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
