Obituary of John Snoeks

SNOEKS, JOHN On Sunday, June 9, 2002 at Hotel Dieu Hospital at 46 years of age. Beloved husband of Gabriella (nee: Leingartner). Loving father of Jonathan and Danielle. Dear son of Annie and Jacobus (deceased 1997). Dear brother of Bill (Suzanne) Snoeks, Helen (Scott) Forrest and JoAnne (George) Orr. John will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. John served in the Army from 1975 to 1982. He worked for London Life Insurance in Toronto for 12 years before coming back to St. Catharines to start a family. John enjoyed a diverse career. He graduated from Niagara College and recently joined the Niagara Catholic District School Board in a full time position as an Educational Assistant. John loved his work with the children and had made many friends. John was blessed with many good friendships that lasted his lifetime. John is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Wednesday at 9 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for the deceased will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Memorial remembrances to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to our family, friends and neighbours for the ourpouring of support and kindness during this most difficult time. Many heartfelt thanks to the nurses of the Palliative Care Ward at Hotel Dieu. John, you will always be in our hearts, forever.
