KELLY JAMES MICHAEL It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, jim Kelly, June 6, 2002. Our dad was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on September 27th, 1940 and was the only child of Bernard and Maureen Kelly. Married to his beloved wife Elizabeth for 39 years, our parents immigrated to Canada on their wedding night, July 6, 1963 to begin a new life. Father of Donna (Bruce), Jim and Brian and grandfather of Michael. Our dad was excited to become grandfather once again with the birth of Brian and Brigita's first child later this month. He was the loving uncle of Tracy, Patricia and Marissa of St. Catharines and many nieces and nephews in Belfast, New York, London and Vancouver. Our dad was the brother in law of Geraldine and the late Jim Mclroy of St. Catharines, Winnie and Sandro Censario, Pat and the late Betty Burns, Mollie and Ken Pugsley, Sadie and the late Liam O'rawe and Kate and Dave Corby. Dad was a skilled tradesman and was a member of Local 537 of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association aand worked hard all his life in Hamilton. He loved to garden and play with Maggie, his devoted Jack Russell. Our dad loved to walk along the pier in Port Dalhousie with our mom and to go for long drives in the country. He had a deep faith in God all his life and worshipped at Star of the Sea in Port Dalhousie. Dad was blessed with many loving friends, and we are eternally greatful to those who called him their pal. He will be sadly missed by his large and loving family. Dad is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Star iof the Sea Church at 11:00am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 8:30pm. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
