Obituary of Murray Prior

PRIOR, Murray Suddenly, at home, on Friday, May 24th, 2002. Murray Prior, beloved husband of Judith Prior. Loving father of Susan (Peter Whitridge), Nancy (Lennart Husband), and Jenny Prior. Dear Grandpa of Jed and Chloe Whitridge. Brother of William Prior (Maggie) and Anne Fraser (Bill). Brother-in-law of Richard Rodgers (Margaret) and Tim Rodgers (Barbara). Mr. Prior was a graduate of Queen's University. While at Queen's he was able to participate in one of his passions as a two time most valuable player on the basketball team. He continued as a coach during his teaching career at Denis Morris High School. He excelled as a teacher of Latin (another of his passions) and English. He enriched not only his own life but also the lives of his students by sharing his many European travel experiences in the classroom. Optimus magister. Mr. Prior is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria on Tuesday at 11:00am. Cremation to follow. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 3pm. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
