Obituary of Katherine Genevieve Doyle

Doyle, Katherine Genevieve Mason Peacefully after a long illness, at the Versa Care Nursing Home in St. Catharines, Ontario on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in her 84th year. Beloved and devoted wife for 57 years of the late James Ford Doyle. Loving mother of James and his wife Francine of Montreal, Callista and her husband Clarke of Burlington, Mark and his wife Joan of Niagara Falls and Mary-Clare and her husband Andrew of Thorold. Beloved Nana of Annique, Jameson, Katie, Joshua, Jonathan, Michael and Arthur. Dear daughter of the late Frederick and Virginia Mason of Thamesville, Ontario. Katherine was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, James Mason of Detroit, Mother Fedrica of the Urslines-Mother House Monroe, Michigan, Roseann Mason of Thamesville, Fredrick Mason of Thamesville, Alexander Mason of Chatham, Elizabeth St. Louis of Oakville, Ruthe Bachelor of Vancouver. Katherine graduated from the University of Toronto Dental College in 1938 in Dental Nursing. She raised four children and was activley involved in the Hotel Dieu Hospital Auxilliary. In her senior years she travelled extensively with her late husband James. Katherine is resting at the GEORGE DARTE NORTH CHAPEL, 585 Calrton St. until Friday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for the deceased will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. Memorial Remembrances to Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
