Obituary of Neil McCann

McCann, Neil Peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, May 18, 2002, 71 years of age. Loving husband of Elizabeth for over 49 years. Beloved father of Helen & her husband Donald MacCuish, Maria McCann, and Janice and her husband Arron Watkins. Proud Granda of Keith, Mark, and Lee, Nickey, and Laurin, and Alan, and Joelle. Great granda to Joey Nicole. Mr. McCann will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Mr. McCann was a member of St. Patrick's Church, and of the St. Catharines Celtic Soccer Association. He served as a crossing guard for Memorial School on Welland Ave. Mr. McCann was born in Port Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1990. Mr. McCann is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., where the family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. On Wednesday, May 22nd, friends are invited to St. Patrick's Church where a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30pm. Memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
