Moen, Anna-Mae "Matie" On Monday, March 31st, 2003, Ann fell into her eternal sleep at the Shaver Hospital, at 81 years of age. Ann is the cherished wife of Roy for 57 years, and dearly loved mother to Shirley (Port Perry), and Ronald (Victoria, B.C.) Her memory will forever be cherished by her granddaughters Stephanie, and Lauren and her great-grandchildren Malina and Kadin. Matie will be sorely missed by her many neices, nephews, and friends. As the last surviving member of the Mayville family, Ann is now welcomed by her parents, and her 3 brothers and 4 sisters who predeceased her. Her grace, dignity and passion for life will never be forgotten. Special thanks to the many caregivers at the St. Catharines General Hospital, the Shaver Hospital, as well as her many friends and neighbours for your loving support. Your kindness and compassion in caring for Ann will always be remembered. Ann was a member of St. Julia's Church and served for many years with the Catholic Women's League. Matie is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers with prayers of the rosary will be said in Matie's name on Wednesday at 7:30p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Julia's Church on Thursday at 12 noon, with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Those who wish, may make memorial remembrances in Matie's name to the Parkinson's Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Society.
