Obituary of Mary Chambers

CHAMBERS, Mary Peacefully on Saturday March 22, 2003 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 79. Born in Hamilton, Ontario. Beloved wife of 53 years of William (Spike ) Chambers. Loving mother of Betty Chambers, Bill and Cathy Chambers, Denise and Rick Dupuis, and Tim and Betty Chambers. Nana will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Chris Chambers, Lisa (Jay) Pearce, Danielle and Nicole Dupuis, David, Kari, Bryan and Jennifer Chambers, and great-grandchildren Madeleine and Jordan Chambers , and Brandon and Alyssa Pearce. Survived by her sister, Alice Gallagher. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Mary was secretary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 Ladies Auxiliary and a Parishioner of St. Denis Church and a member of the Catholic Women's League. Mrs. Chambers is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church at 10:00am. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
