NALYWAIKO MARIA - On Wednesday, March 12, 2003, Mary passed away at theTufford Nursing Home, in her 90th year. Beloved mother of Jenny (Steve) DOMINICK. Loving Baba of grandsons Stephen (wife Laura), Ron (wife Shelley) Dear Baba Marynia to great grandchildren Alexandra, Tiana, Michael and Ryan. Born in Ukraine Mary came to Canada in 1949, settling in Sudbury, Ontario, where she was employed by the Kresge Co. In 1983 she moved to St. Catharines with her family. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Nykola and her three sisters all of Ukraine. Mary loved and lived for her family. She was a member of St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mary is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Saturday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John the Theologian Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting. hours are Friday 2-4 and 6:30-9:00pm.. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances for the new IKONASTAS (Icon Screen) of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
