Obituary of Leroy Kennedy

KENNEDY, Leroy (Roy) A. Passed away peacefully at his home, Decew Road, beloved husband of Ruth (Burke), father of Thomas Burke (Margaret), Robert John (Susan). Will be sadly missed by his sisters, Bonita Marie, Niagara Falls, and Muriel Margaret Sondheimer, St. Catharines. Predeceased by his sister Georgina Martha Smale. Papa will be missed by his 'loved' grandchildren, Jennifer Ruth, Christina Marie, Seanna Erin, Craig Robert, Tarah Elizabeth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roy was an understanding, strong, dependable, affectionate husband and father and was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Kennedy is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Julia's Church at 11:00am. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00pm. Memorial remembrances to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
