Obituary of Giovanni Marchio

Marchio Giovanni Peacefully, on Sunday Jan. 12, 2003 at the Welland General Hospital. Giovanni was 82 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Bernardo and Teresa. Loving husband of Fiorina, beloved father of Domenic and Carmela of Toronto, Pasquale and Laura, Sam all of St. Catharines, dearest Nonno of Michael, Julie, Lisa, Kathleen, Anthony, Natalie, Christina and Kiana, great Nonno of Angela and Cole. Dear brother of late Domenic and Rosina of Welland, Pasquale and Teresa of Toronto, Agostino and Anna of Welland, late Michelina, late Caterina, Pepina, late Luisa all of Sambiase, Italy. Giovanni was a member of St. Alfred's Church and emigrated from Italy in 1954 to Toronto then moved to Welland in 1964 and then settled in St. Catharines in 1992 to live near his family. Giovanni is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St.. St.Catharines until Thurs. at 10:45 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11:15 a.m. Visiting hours Tues. and Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be said on Wed. at 3:30 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Parkinson Foundation or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
