Obituary of Edna Marie Linton

LINTON, Edna Marie (nee Dion) Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation Edna, beloved wife of the late Alfred (1984) passed away at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Monday, December 30th, 2002 in her 88th year. Loving mother of Jim & Shirley of Tecumseh, and Pat & Mike Arghittu of St. Catharines. Dear Nana of Aaron (Clementina), Shawndra (Lee), Melissa (Marc), Brendan (Krista) and the late Devon (1976). Great Grandmother of Davin and Tayne. Survived by her brothers & sisters Aileen Priddy, Bill (Anita) Dion, Janet (Bill) Griffiths all of St. Catharines and many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by her brothers Wilfred, Connie and Eugene, and her parents John & Josephine Dion. Special friend and cousin of Florence Logan of Midland. Edna was born in Penetanguishene on March 10th, 1915, but lived most of her life in St. Catharines devoting herself to her family and friends. She took great pride in watching her family grow and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ina Grafton Gage long term care unit where she was given excellent care and comfort over the last 2 1/2 years, the 3rd floor medical staff at the Hotel Dieu Hospital and Reverend Alan Minarcik. Edna is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where the family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel on Friday at 3:00pm. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzhiemers Society would be appreciated by the family.
