So sorry to learn of your dad's passing ,he was a wonderful man and a special person and I will always cherish the memories of the time I spent with him.It's so unfortunate that somebody that gave so much for the preservation of freedom later became a prisoner of life.I can only hope that he has re-joined your mom because those two had a relationship that we all should be envious of.John was a great father in law to me and a loving grandfather to Marc & Laura and will be(& has been)missed deeply.
I send my deepest sympathy to you and your families .
