Obituary of Christine Thiessen

Thiessen, Christine (nee Kachur) Peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 4, 2002 at Shaver Hospital. In her 73rd year. Loving wife of the late Reg Thiessen. Beloved mother of Linda (Brian) Moore, and the late Brenda. Proud grandma to Shari, David, Lisa, and Valerie, who were the light of her life. Dear sister of Victor Kachur. Predeceased by her parents Nickolas and Josephine Kachur, and by her sisters Helen, Lucille, and Olga, and by her brothers Tony, and Martin. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. At Chris' request cremation has taken place. A private family Rite of Committal service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Chapel. Memorial remembrances to Sick Children's Hospital or the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to express a special thank you to Jennifer and Michelle from Para-Med for their kindness and compassion, also to Dr. Giesbrecht and the nurses in Oncology at the Hotel Dieu and to the nurses at the Shaver Hospital.
