Obituary of William Corbett

Corbett William On Saturday October 25, 2003 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at 78years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Edith, for 50 years. Loving father of Sandy (Gary) Warren Cherished grandpa of Ashley and Andrew. Dear brother of Robert (Bev), Elizabeth, Gretchen (the late Glen) Galloway, Nancy (Doug) Moreau, Hester (Don) O'Brien. Predeceased by his brother Edward (2000). William will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. William was employed with the St. Lawrence Seaway as Lockmaster for 31 years until retiring in 1987. Mr. Corbett is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. where a service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the St. General ICU, Dr. Gruber and Dr. Sawula for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Bill and his family. Also the Hotel Dieu ICU and the Dialysis Unit.
