Obituary of Barbara Baraniuk

BARANIUK, Barbara Peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Monday June 30, 2003. Beloved wife of 44 years to Victor. Loving mother of Peter (Caryn), Victoria, Joan-Marie and Linda (Bill), and grandmother of Patrick. Survived by her sisters Dolores (Willard) Belden of Lewiston, N.Y., and Joan (Walt) Stecyk, and brothers Gary Burke of Dudney, B.C., and Jack (Pam) Burke of Las Vegas. She will be sadly missed by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Peter Burke. Barbara was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church for 40 years. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Sandra Hartman, all of the V.O.N. Nurses, Paramed Nurses and CCAC Nurses, for all their assistance and comfort. Mrs. Baraniuk is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 11:00am. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Canadian Cancer Society, St. Thomas Aquinas Church Building Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
