Chris and Aynsley--The last month I've spent with your mom was one of the hardest but also one of the best I've ever had. We got to talk and say things that I'm sure we wouldn't have under other circumstances.
As my big sister, your mom taught me alot of things--I can still hear her yelling at me to hold my stomach in--as I now tell my girls. But one of the best was to accept people for what they are even if you don't always agree with what they are doing.
As we are at the service tonight I hope we will be able to draw strength from each other and that we won't forget the closness we've acheived over these past few weeks once we get back to normal routines.
In the words of your mother--take care of you--love auntie deen

Dear Aynsley, Chris, Anne Marie and Layla:
When I woke up on Sunday morning, for a split second I actually thought about going up to see Jackie. I find it so hard to believe she's gone now, as I'm sure you do too. I always loved your Mom's sense of humour. Even in the end, when she was in so much pain, she could find the humour in things. I'll really miss that. This last month has been very exhausting emotionally for all of us, but what a blessing it was to be able to spend that time with her and talk to her about all sorts of things. I hope all of the good memories help each of us at this very sad time. Lots of love to all of you, Aunt Lynn

MOTHERS
Mothers never die...
They just keep house up in the sky.
When we are children
We are happy and gay
and our Mother is young
and she laughs as we play.
Then as we grow up
She teaches us truth
and lays life's foundation
in the days of our youth.
And then it is time
for us to leave home,
but her teachings go with us
wherever we roam.
For all that she taught us,
and all that we did
when we were so often
just a "bad, little kid"
We will often remember
and then realize
that Mothers are SPECIAL,
and wonderfully wise....
And as she grows older,
we look back with love
knowing that Mothers
are GIFTS FROM ABOVE!
And when she "goes home"
to receive her reward
she will dwell in God's Kingdom
and keep house for the Lord
Where she'll "light up" the stars
that shine through the night
and keep all the moonbeams
"sparkling and bright"
And then with the dawn
she'll put the darkness away
as she "scours" the sun
to new brilliance each day....
So dry tears of sorrow,
For Mothers don't die....
They just move in with God
and keep house in the sky!
And there in God's Kingdom,
Mother's watch from above,
To welcome their children
with their UNDYING LOVE!!!
