Obituary of William (Bill) Bastings

Bastings William Joseph Passed away peacefully April 1, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, shortly after his 64th birthday. Bill was a loyal and devoted employee of the St. Catharines Standard for over 35 years, retiring as the composing room manager. He was a printer by trade, and took great pride in his work. Loving Husband for 34 years and best friend of Jacquie, loving Father of Lee, Dawson (Tenille Bond) and Stacey. Dear Grandpa of Storm and Mackenzie. Dear Brother of Joan Bauman of Florida, Dear Son-in-law of Donald K. Stark, Brother-in law of Diane Steeves, Ginny and her husband Ken Wiley, all of Meaford. Predeceased by his parents Freida and Andrew Bastings.A Memorial Service to honour Bill's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Monday April 5 at 1:30 PM. The family will receive friends from 11-1:30 PM. Memorial remembrances to Multiple Sclerosis or Ontario Muscular Dystrophy Association would be appreciated by the family.
