Obituary of Vincenza Healy

Healy (Hockey) Vincenza(nee Desira) : Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Malden Park Continuing Care in Windsor on March 29,2004. Born February 29,1920 in Zejtun, Malta. Beloved wife of the late Charles Hockey and former spouse of the late Dr. Clifford Healy. Dearest and beloved mother of Sonny and Anne Hockey of Richmond B.C., Joseph and Diane Hockey of St. Catharines , Toni and Tom Dorey of Unionville, Mary and Glen O'Neil of Lasalle. She leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren, John, Chris, Jennifer, Terri, Karen, Scott, Michael, Christine, Kim, Michael,Tara, Bobby and Glennie. Great-grandmother to Christopher,Jordan, Ashley, Jamie,Anna, Michael, Hailey, Joshua, Jack, Kennedy and Devin. Predeceased by her brothers Joe, Salvatore, sister Lina and her niece Gloria. Vinnie was a nurse at the Hotel Dieu Hospital giving loving care to children in the pediatric ward. Visitation for Vinnie will be at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm . Vigil prayer at the funeral home on Thursday at 3pm. Funeral Liturgy on Friday April 2, 2004 at 9:30 am in St. Alfred's Church. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated .
