Obituary of Mario Baccaro

Baccaro, Mario After a 3 year battle with cancer on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. 78 years of age. Loving husband of Lina for over 57 years. Beloved father of Don & his wife June of Richmond Hill, of Doreen & her husband Wes Haine. Proud Nonno of his grandchildren Andrew, Jordan, and Adam. Dear brother in law of Maria (the late Nicola) Pizzuto. Will be sadly missed by his nephews of Frank (Louise), Tony (Gina), and Mario (Mary) and their families. Also by his cousins of the late Angelo (the late Edith) Ricci, the late Ida (Dino) Girotti, and Nick (Lina) Ricci and their families. Mr. Baccaro retired in 1990 from the St. Catharines General Hospital. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to Dr. P. Zuliani the other Dr's and all the staff that helped care for him. Mr. Baccaro is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Wednesday at 9am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of Committal will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:30pm. Memorial remembrances to Canadian Cancer Society or the General Hospital Oncology Dept. would be appreciated by the family.
