Obituary of Muriel Feschuk
FESCHUK, Muriel
Muriel Feschuk died suddenly at Ottawa Civic Hospital on January 25 at the age of 61, her family by her side. Dear wife and best friend to Brian. Loving daughter of Stella Lazaruk and the late John Lazaruk; devoted daughter-in-law to Margaret Brake and the late Leo Brake. Outgoing and beloved mother to Scott and his wife, Sue; David and his wife, Andrea; and Jen and her partner Brent. Grandmother extraordinaire to James, William and Oscar. Sister to Lawrence and his wife, Sue; Jerry and his wife, Rosalie; Linda and her husband, Brian. Sister-in-law to Robert and Judy Feschuk; Karen O†™Brien; and Gary and Trish Brake. Proud aunt to John, Lawrence, Mark, Kristen, Joanne, Susan, Sandra, Patti, Kevin, Libby, Brad and Zachary; predeceased by her beautiful niece Tara. Great-aunt to Mackenzie, Lucas, Peyton, Austin and Talia.
Cherished friend to so many with whom she shared laughter and the very best in life, Muriel will be missed by all who know her from her earliest days in Western Hill to the latest get-together of fellow retirees and the Birthday Group. We find small comfort in great memories of summer days at Sand Lake, New Year†™s celebrations with lifelong friends, F.A.T. parties, family gatherings and park excursions with grandchildren in every kind of weather. Muriel†™s career took her from teaching to real estate and back. Whether selling a house or sharing storytime with her Grade Two students, she touched everyone with her enthusiasm for life and her generous spirit.
All those who knew her should be consoled to know her faith was strong.
Friends and family may call at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL at 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be officiated by Father Rheal LeBlanc at St. Julia Catholic Church on Friday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. Interment at Victoria Lawn to be followed by a reception.
Muriel supported and dedicated time to numerous charities.
