Obituary of Dean Norton McBride

McBride , Dean Norton : Peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on January 5,2004 , after a lengthy illness at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Christine for 53 years .Loving father of Judy(Derek) Blackmore of Hertfordshire ,England, Marty of Toronto and Jill(Gary) Jensen of St. Catharines.Cherished Papa Dean of Sean and Victoria McBride,Eliza and Thomas Blackmore and Riley,Corey and Callum Jensen.Survived by brothers Robert(Sheila) of Ottawa and John (Jeanne) of Barrie,sister Lois of St. Catharines and sister -in-law Elda McBride of Acton.Predeceased by brother William (1984). Dean was a hockey player in his youth and played in several cities in Canada and the U.S. . He then managed the Fairview Bowling Lanes for 33 years until his retirement in 1993 .His family would like to thank the staff at the Hotel Dieu and the devoted PSW's from the Red Cross and March of Dimes who helped care for Dean for the past years .In keeping with Dean's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date .
