Ken Moores here. As many of you know, Beth and I had a long-standing relationship dating back to our early teens. She was the first 'agent' to hire my band back in 1968 for the Crystal Lake Cottagers' Assocoation dance at the Crystal Lake Pier. Flash forward several years to time spent travelling the globe, living together in Streetsville and my attending university at Beth's encouragement. Then, with a degree, I was able to enter the world of English teaching which led to several years working for Beth's LINC program and eventually teaching for 7 years in Japan.
In spite of our difficulties, I remember her with fondness for the profound influence she had on my life. She helped me to set and achieve goals that would have been impossible without her. I express my sincere and deep sympathy with her family and friends. I consider myself priviledged to have been her friend. Dear Beth, you will be missed. Ken Moores

"Just a Thought Away"
This Picture I chose for a significant reason. To me it shows Beth's Lively, Determined, Strong, Spunky, Mischievious, Fun and of course intellegent, Kind (could be stern also) nature. There a way too many wonderfull simple and also complicated ways to describe Beth & how she touched my life forever.I had the honor and priviledge of becoming her friend when she showed me the strength and determination of what she was really made of when she met me at Wellspring. I shared with Beth so very much of herself. Beth wanted so much to live life to its fullest that even when Cancer tried to make its claim, she deligently worked to make the best of it that she could. I admire the strength and determination she demonstrated when on one particularly bad day (her balance was off and her limbs were weak) she proclaimed at the start of our visit that she would "Walk out of here!" and that she did!!! Beth being who she is defied so many opinions and odds. She is and will always be the best example of Courage and strength beyond most humans capacity. She is also love. Love is why she tried so hard and so long to remain with us. I could see the love that Beth and Dan shared in the way they were with one another, even in times that weren't fair and not easy...I learned many things by their example. Beth also touched my life, in the way she showed me how very much she appreciated my attempts to help her..she may never know that in this way she was teaching me to be strong. We became good friends as we shared her journey to want to continue life and love, and then how to lovingly let go. In having lost her, I was reminded of a time that I was widowed as she didn't wish to leave Dan, her family and her friends, what I remember the most is the love...that doesn't die!! So in my heart and soul and in yours...Beth lives on....we are only just a thought away.

To Beth's family and friends, please accept my condolences for your huge loss. Beth was my boss and great friend for 6 wonderful years at LINC in Toronto. She was inspiring and will be greatly missed!! One future day may your grief walk "beside" you like a shadow and not only inside you weighing heavily on your heart. I am sorry that I cannot attend her funeral as I am currently out of the country but my prayers will be with you.

Our condolences to Dan and the family. It is so hard to lose someone you love. We knew Beth when she was attending Hamilton Monthly Meeting(Quakers). She was a good example of someone living her life with joy and purpose. She lit up a room with her smile and music.

It was with profound saddness that I learned of Beth's passing today. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Dan, Colleen, Mrs. B and all of Beth's extended family. Having been close friends and confidants through our teenage years at Crystal Lake, we lost touch for about 20 years and I was very greatful when Beth reconnected about 15 years ago. I was amazed at Beth's academic accomplishments and the life experiences that she had enjoyed over those years. She was truly an amazing person and caring friend. Whenever I hear "Here Comes The Sun", I always smile and think of Beth. Rest in peace, my friend. |

"Here comes the Sun" has true meaning for Beth. She was a very vibrant individual using the sky as her limit. Her smile shines deep within my soul. My sincere condolences to Danny and her family.
