I lost my brother Billy to M.S. last week. What a
way to find out we shared the same middle name. He
loved the west and B.C. was his heaven and i,m
sure that now he is at that lakeside resort just
inside heavens gates waiting for us loved ones.
As childhood neighbours we were best friends the 1st
day he came out to play. I grew up with his
fine family and ate more morning meals at his home than
at home. He shared or gave me anything he had. As we
grew up we lost touch somewhat until he moved west.
By then he was sick but still proud & tough as nails.
He was truly at peace in Nelson B.C. from what I could
tell from phone calls. Man, did I and many others pray
for a cure. Billy called last month after about a year
and my baby boy made some animal sounds that i'm
sure brought a grin to Bill's face. He kept it short and I
knew he was saying goodbye. Damn that M.S. we used to
say.. If any one takes the time to read this please
support the M.S. foundation, and please remind the ones
you love how important they are in your life.
Deepest condolences to Leona, Cathie , Robyn
and their families and loved ones. Larry Paul Bonato

My Uncle Bill was by far the greatest person I've ever known. Although he's in a better place and surrounded with the love of God my heart still shatters into a million pieces to know I'll never be able to hear his voice again or feel his loving arms wrap around me. But the emptiness and pain I feel can not compare to the love I have for him or the joy he brings to my life through my vivid memories of him. My favourite memory is from a while back but I remember like it was yesterday. I had gotten ready for bed one summer evening, my hair was wet from my shower and I was wearing my favourite pink nightgown my parents had given to me for Christmas. My Uncle Bill drove his truck upright onto our front lawn because he had come to take me out for ice cream. I remember how happy I was to see him. Every time I think about my Uncle I remember how happy he made me with surprise visits and whoopee cushions at Christmas dinner. I

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to all of Bill's family.
He was a fun, caring and loving friend!
We will miss him dearly.
(Although I hadn't seen Bill in a few years, we were roommates when I moved to Alberta aprox. 22years ago.
I remember when he got in that really bad car accident (in Alberta) and I helped nurse him back to health until his mother came and took care of him. He was like a brother to me)
And he was also like a brother to Larry. They were friends for many, many years. I believe they to were roommates in St. Cath. for many yrs. and at different times.
We will treasure our memories with Bill and Pray for him and also his family!
Sincerely,
til we meet again Bill,
Larry and Lorie
