Obituary of Waselena(Dorothy) Orshinsky

Orshinsky, Waselena (Dorothy) - nee Feschuk Peacefully, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on December 13, 2003 Dorothy, in her 90th year, was preceded by her husband John and her son Peter Jack. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Kita and son John (Michelle) Orshinsky, six grandchildren, Joanne (Doug) Coley, Jackie Lynn (Frank)Van Lankveld, Joe (Nathalie) Kita, Angela, John Peter and Matthew Orshinsky, and four great-grandchildren, Mary-Lynn and Hannah VanLankveld, Adam Coley and Joseph Antoine Kita. Her extended family, a major part of her life includes: Fred (Donna), Tom (Belle), and Bill (Gerri)Bachur, Beverly (Nelson) Mallette, Ginger (Pete) Neprily, Michael (Dolly) Orshinsky, Lorraine (Dennis) Beckett, Forbes, Jim, Brian(Muriel), Robert (Judy) Feschuk and Karen O'Brien and their many children. Dorothy was a long-time member of The Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario and a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. Dorothy spent her life caring for her family and friends. She never raised her voice or got angry and her home was open to all who needed her. She was wealthy in friends and family and when asked once what she and her husband could give to someone who needed assistance she said, "Just what we have." She was Ma, Mom, Baba, Baby Baba and Aunt Dorothy to us. God Bless you Mom. We love you will miss you. We hope they have your bingo cards waiting for you. Visitation will be held at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 7 pm. Vigil prayers will be at 730 pm. Services will be from St. Ann's Church, Canboro Road, Fenwick, at 10am Tuesday December 16, 2003. Donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
