Obituary of Antoni Szopa

SZOPA ANTONI Peacefully on Friday July 2, 2004 at Westpark Nursing Home, in his 95th year. Beloved uncle of Maggie and her husband Mike Bator. Cherished great uncle of Renata and Darek. Survived by two sisters and a brother in Poland and special friend of Czesia Godlejewski. Mr. Szopa was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He served in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch #418. Mr. Szopa is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7pm. Visiting hours are Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
