Halliday, Bert Adam
Peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Linhaven Home for the Aged in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Gwen (nee Preston) for 66 years, loving father of Sharon (Stephen) Pullen, Bruce (Sarah) Halliday. Grandpa will be missed by Angela (Shawn) Carr, Wendi Halliday, Michael Carr and Great- Grandpa of Clayton and Shawnee Carr. Dear brother of Doug, Roy and Jack (Ann) Halliday. Predeceased by a grandson Blair Carr (2003). As a young man, Bert was active in sports, including Lacrosse with the Maroon's and Athletic's as well as field events. He was employed for 32 years as a Pipefitter at General Motors, retiring in 1974. Special thanks to the remarkable staff at Linhaven for their T.L.C. of our loved one for the past four years.
Bert's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment, Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Remembrances made to Linhaven Home for the Aged or The St. Catharines General Hospital Auxilary would be appreciated by his family.
