Obituary of Peter Pizycki

PIZYCKI PETER Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Nellie (1996) Dear father of Ben, his children Steven, Michael and Kristen, Boris, his wife Anita and their daughter Deanna. Survived by his sister Ann Skochalas and family in Ukraine. Also survived by many nephews and nieces in St. Catharines and Ukraine. Predeceased by his two brothers Sam and Fred Pizycki. Peter was a long time, active member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Men's League. He was employed by Anthes Imperial and later with the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority. He belonged to friends of Plast, Myr Horod Seniors Citizens Club, U.N.O. Branch 427, and Ukrainian Army Divisia Veterans. He was also a member of the Ukrainian Credit Union. Mr. Pizycki is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Panachyda will be celebrated at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Monday at 10:000am with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances to The Children of Chernobyl or Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
