dear Barb,
It is with great sadness, we read about the passing of Jim. As neighbours, of almost 40 years, we will surely miss his friendly smile, and the daily talks, we had with Jim, since he retired.
You, and your family, are in our thoughts and prayers. With our sincere condolences.
Henny & Jan.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Ever since I heard of Mr. Cruickshank's passing, I've been having flashbacks of many happy moments spent at the Cruickshank home (I think Janet and I spent more time at your place than at our own home!).
I remember Mr. Cruickshank's kindness as well as his good humour. I don't know how he maintained his sanity whenever he let us tag along with your family, whether it be on a trip for ice cream or our inclusion in a family function...all those rambunctious girls...
I recall vividly his enthusiasm and love of athletics. We'd go and watch his lob-ball team play or be invited sailing. For a while when I was in high school, I'd jog early in the morning and he'd always be out there before me AND he'd lap me every time!
I will remember him fondly.
Thinking of you all at such a sad time,
Lynn

Mrs. Cruickshank, Diane & Ann:
I was so very sorry to read of Mr. Cruickshank's passing in tonight's paper. Although it has been many years since I have seen any of you, I've never forgotten how close Diane and I once were and I think of you often.
I have many happy childhood memories of time spent with your family and I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you so.
Please take care and hopefully we'll get to see each other again at some point. I'm still in Fonthill and my parents are still in their house on Gavin Drive.
Sincerely,
Janice
