Obituary of William (Bill) John Dominey

DOMINEY, William (Bill) John In the afternoon on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at home among family after 73 full years. Survived by loving wife Susan. Father to Gordon, Dennis and Jim and Susan's children Rachel and Lary. Bill was the son of Daniel and Agnes Dominey and brother to Maxine. Grandfather to Andrew, Christopher, Jillian and Cameron. Bill was one of Canada's original Toyota dealers upon opening Dominey's Toyota in 1965, which he operated until 1990. The dealership and his time racing at Merrittville, Ransomville and other tracks helped him touch the lives of so many dear friends. Thank you to all those that reached out to him during the last two years. Special thanks to the Oncology and Chemo departments at Hotel Dieu, including Trish, Lana and Bernie, as well as Glenys from St. Elizabeth's for her care and compassion these past months and Marshall for his heartfelt attention. Also a special thank you to Dr. Sandra Hartman for her many hours of attentive care when he needed it most. Bill's family will receive realtives and friends at the GEROGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 in Church of Christ (corner of Ontario St. and Royal Henley Dr.) at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances made to the Make a Wish Foundation or Tender Wishes would be appreciated by his family.
