Obituary of Craig Ernest, Petty Officer Lawrenson

Lawrenson, Craig Ernest Petty Officer Second Class Craig Ernest Lawrenson, born January 5, 1972, passed away on December 18, 2004 and is now in the loving arms of his dad Jim (1996), after a brave fight with cancer. He was the devoted father of Shannelle and Nicholas and their mother Francine. Precious son of Norma Lawrenson (late Jim) (1996), caring brother of Jim (Angie), Mark (Michelle), Jason (Taylor) and loving uncle to Jacob and Jessica. Craig is also survived by his three special aunts and five uncles as well as several cousins. He was like a brother to Tracy, Todd and Julie (cousins) for they were brought up together. For the past 14 years Craig has dedicated his life to the Canadian Navy. His last assignment being PO2 Electronic Warfare Supervisor on board the HMCS Charlottetown. Craig's whole family were very proud of his accomplishments, especially his dad and brothers. Craig recently left behind some wonderful and caring friends and co-workers in Halifax to transfer to Ottawa to enable him to spend more time with his children for they were always his priority in life. Craig's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, Ontario on Thursday, December 23, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. where a Full Military Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment, St. John's Anglican Cemetery in Port Dalhousie. Memorial remembrances made to the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers by his family.
