Stienstra - Andries Johan (Andy) The family sadly announces on Wednesday July 27, 2005, the peacefull passing of Andries Stienstra. He was born on August 9, 1927 in Leewarden The Netherlands. Beloved husband of 29 years to Hendrika (Henny). Dearly loved father of Nellie (Hans) Kayser, Rita (Wilf) Schulz, Andre (Diane) Stienstra and step-father of Els (Jack) Burghout and Jake (Janet) Bakker. Cherished Opa of Frank, Melissa, Andy, Amanda, Peter, Kathy, Mike, Josh and Amanda. Brother of Wil (Johanna) Stienstra of The Netherlands and brother-in-law to Jopie (Joe) Verkerk of Keswick. He was predeceased by his first wife Nellie Stienstra (1975) and a sister Bep of The Netherlands. Andy was retired from Stelco. His retirement years were actively spent travelling and being with his wife and family. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday July 29, 2005 to celebrate the life of Andy from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a luncheon and fellowship in the lower hall of the funeral home.
