Obituary of Gertrude Hawthorn

Hawthorn- Gertrude (Gerry) After a courageous battle with her illness at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines on Sunday June 5, 2005 Gertrude (Maylk) Hawthorn of St. Catharines in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Normand Bud Hawthorn (1990) and loving mother of Norma (Ken) Medulun of St. Catharines, and Heather Vanderzand Hawthorn and husband John Vanderzand of Milton ON.. Much loved grandma of Greg (Lisa) Medulun, Rozalind Vanessa (Mike) Taylor, Mark (Rachael) Medulun, Christopher (Jenni) Hawthorn and great-grandma of Neve and Jordan Taylor, Isabella, Grace and Abigail Hawthorn, Mitchell Medulun and Zoe Medulun. She is also survived by two sisters Pauline and Helen. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton Street St. Catharines, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday June 8th, 2005 at 11am.. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Missionary Ventures Canada in support of grandma's interest in missionary work in Nicaragua to be carried out by her grand-daughter.
