Obituary of Louis Joseph Lahaie

Lahaie,Louis On Monday May 29th at Shaver Hotel Dieu Hospital at age 69. After a lengthy battle with cancer Louis passed away with his family by his side.Loving husband of the late Tina (1999), dear father of Marc (Claire), Patrick (Tracey) & Paul all of St Catharines. Beloved "pops" of 5 grandchildren, Cody, Zachary, Kaleigh, Gabrielle & Camryn.Survived by 8 brothers & sisters. Predeceased by his parents and 2 sisters. Greatly missed by his golf and elbow bending buddies, Laurier Maltais and Bob Smith and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Louis was retired from Ontario Hydro where he devoted 35 years as a land surveyor. He was a member of Sparrow Lakes Golf Club in Welland. Louis is resting at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Cartlon St. where a Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 2 at 1 p.m. with Rite of Committal in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Visiting Hours Thursday, June 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Louis will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Equipment Fund of Oncology Unit at NHS Queenston St. site.
