JOHNSON, Mary Patricia, Died peacefully at Linhaven Home for the Aged, on May 28, 2006. Predeceased by her loving husband , Harold (Apr.7, 2005). Survived by her son James R. Meyers (Elaine) of Erie, Pa, daughters Karen Maltais (Laurier), and Joyce Borbely (Peter) of St. Catharines, Grandchildren Christopher Meyers, of Denver, Col., Valerie Balogna, Erie, Pa, Nicholas Meyers(Lori-Ann), Denver Col, Anita Simpson (P.J.), Greensburg, Pa, John Craig Maltais (Elizabeth),of Welland, Michael Schreindorfer of Thorold and Tracey Roblin (Brian) of Niagara on the Lake and twelve great-grandchildren. Also survived by her former son-in-law Martin Schreindorfer (Janet), of Niagara on the Lake, her sister-in-law Helen McKenzie, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her four brothers and three sisters. Born on June 2, 1916 in Erie Pa, where she lived until she married Harold and moved to Canada in 1957. Mary was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Church. Until recently Mary had resided at St. Catharines Place Retirement Home for five and a half years. Mary's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, Ontario on Wednesday, May 31st, 2006 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at the Church of the Good Sheperd, 359 Grantham Avenue on Thursday, June 1st at 11am. Cremation will follow the service. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Church of the Good Shepherd.
